Beginning Monday, March 23, the WPWMA will be limiting access to the facility to help combat the spread of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. We will be open Monday through Friday only to commercial haulers and customers with an existing WPWMA credit account. All services will be closed Saturdays and Sundays. Anyone without a WPWMA credit account will not be permitted access to the facility until further notice. This includes the Buy-Back Center and Household Hazardous Waste Facilities.

Residents can drop off household hazardous waste (HHW) for FREE at the household hazardous waste facility. Quantities are limited to 15 gallons or 125 lbs per visit. Services are available only to residents of Placer County.

Items Accepted Include:
Car batteries, cell phones, computers, single-use and rechargeable batteries, fluorescent tubes/bulbs, small appliances, motor oil and oil filters and televisions.

Items Not Accepted:
Medical waste (except medications and sharps), ammunition and explosives, asbestos, radioactive materials, compressed gas and propane cylinders GREATER than 5 gallons or 20 pounds, and PCBs.
