Beginning Monday, April 20, the WPWMA will be open Monday through Friday to all customers. We ask that all customers wear a mask and maintain a safe distance from all employees and other customers while using the facility.

We will only be accepting credit and debit cards, mobile payment (Apple, Google, Samsung Pay) and WPWMA credit accounts. No cash or checks will be accepted. The facility will remain closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Residents can drop off household hazardous waste (HHW) for FREE at the household hazardous waste facility. Quantities are limited to 15 gallons or 125 lbs per visit. Services are available only to residents of Placer County.

Items Accepted Include:
Car batteries, cell phones, computers, single-use and rechargeable batteries, fluorescent tubes/bulbs, small appliances, motor oil and oil filters and televisions.

Items Not Accepted:
Medical waste (except medications and sharps), ammunition and explosives, asbestos, radioactive materials, compressed gas and propane cylinders GREATER than 5 gallons or 20 pounds, and PCBs.
